The Alligators are:
Alan
Goodrich - drums, lead vocals, acoustic guitar, percussion
Originally from Sudbury, Mass. and a graduate
of Boston University, Alan began playing drums in second grade, and
clarinet in the fifth grade. He studied drums under the tutelage of
jazz great Alan Dawson of the Dave Brubeck Quartet for
5 years. Alan also studied voice under Mark Baxter, voice teacher
to Steven Tyler, Peter Wolf and Gary Cherone, and author
of The Rock and Roll Singer's Survival Guide. To round out
his contribution, he can be seen playing guitar in the Acoustic
Alligators. Alan also does a solo acoustic act on guitar and voice.
Jon
Steinberger - bass guitar and vocals
Originally from Philadelphia, Pa., John attended
Berklee College of Music, and studied privately with Jeff Berlin
of Bruford and Yes fame. John was formerly with the
local group The Lines, with whom he recorded 4 albums and performed
live opening for national acts such as Aerosmith, The Tubes and
Cheap Trick.
Erik Ringstad - guitar, vocals
Originally from New York City, Erik is a graduate
of Berklee College of Music. He began studying classical piano at
the age of four, and picked up guitar at the ripe old age of 15. In
1992, Erik's guitar duo, Acousticity, won Musician Magazine's
Best Unsigned Artist competition, and appeared on their nationally
released compilation CD. Erik has performed his guitar compositions
throughout the midwest and live on WPBS radio nationwide. He also plays
with Alan in the Acoustic Alligators.
