Alan and The Alligators is a three-piece Boston area band providing live entertainment since 1989 and is one of New England’s best bands for any event. Audiences appreciate our versatility, full sound, and talent for playing popular cover songs and catchy, danceable original songs. Our exciting performance style and expert musicianship has made us a popular live act. We love to play!

Our music is a mix of original and cover rock, funk, blues, R&B, dance, jazz, pop, jam band, folk music and other assorted fun music.  We can augment our typical three-piece instrumentation to be a four-, five-, or six-piece band by adding keyboards, second guitar, or saxophone.

The >Acoustic Alligators is the two-piece acoustic, or “unplugged,” presentation of the group.>Alan Goodrich also does a solo acoustic act on guitar and voice, playing original rock and pop material in the singer-songwriter style as well as cover classic rock, blues, pop and folk music.

The Alligators band or individual members can present:

• Cover Rock Band: Classic and new rock.
• Original Rock Band: Original rock, funk and blues.
• Blues Band: Classic and current blues and R&B.
• Jazz Trio: Instrumental classic jazz standards, current jazz and original jazz.
• Acoustic Duo or Trio: Cover and original acoustic rock, funk, R&B, blues and pop.
• Acoustic Jazz Duo: Instrumental classic jazz standards, current jazz and original duo jazz on guitars (or keyboards), voice, and percussion.
• Acoustic Blues Duo or Trio: Classic and current blues and R&B.
• Solo Acoustic Guitar (& voice): Solo cover and original acoustic rock, funk, R&B, blues, folk and pop.
• All-Ages Entertainment: Many styles can be presented in a performance appealing to teens, adults, children and seniors.
• Function and Wedding Band: Classic, favorite function and wedding reception songs. The styles listed above can also be combined with typical wedding/function songs as required. Wedding ceremony music is also available.
